Ethics

At Ukraine Research Lab, we adhere to the highest ethical and legislative standards. Our biospecimens are collected in accordance with both local and international laws.

  • Priority of Patient and Donor Interests

The well-being of the individual whose material or data we study always precedes the interests of science or society. We guarantee that every sample is not just "material," but part of a patient's personal story that requires respect and protection.

  • Informed Consent and Autonomy

We operate strictly voluntarily. Donors receive clear information about the research goals, and we uphold the "right to be forgotten" and the right to withdraw consent at any time, per GDPR and local laws.

  • Confidentiality and Data Protection

We utilize a multi-level protection system, including de-identification (coding samples to prevent identification by third parties) and rigorous cybersecurity controls over digital oncology and genetic registries.

  • Scientific Integrity and Accuracy

We are responsible for the validity of every result. We maintain zero tolerance for data manipulation and ensure reproducibility through strict GCLP protocols.

  • Social Responsibility and Fairness

Our work aims to improve global healthcare. We oppose any discrimination based on race, ethnicity, or social status in sample selection or diagnostic services.

  • Biobanking Ethics

We guarantee the ethical use of samples solely for purposes approved by the Ethics Committee and maintain transparency with international biorepositories.

  • Environmental Safety

We adhere to the highest standards for the disposal of biohazardous waste, minimising ecological risks to the community.
